Hey there! My name is Heather McGuire… mom of two, a writer, and a retired Montessori teacher.
Welcome to Heather McGuire Writes… my lifestyle and parenting blog.
I write about parenting. I focus mainly on the teenage years because it’s hard and sometimes lonely. Play groups and hours, chatting by the swings are long gone and we don’t always feel comfortable talking about what we’re going through. Sharing stories helps us feel a little less alone.
I write about books. I read. A lot. And I share the books I’m reading, what I love, and my faves of all time.
I write about life. I’ve been married for almost 25 years, we have two daughters, and we’ve lived in four cities, one of which was a small town near Venice, Italy. Staying married for a quarter of a century, living in seven homes, and making friends throughout midlife is amazing and beautiful. But it’s also work that requires intention and a decent sense of humor.
